Moderate intensity aerobic activity means you’re working hard enough to raise your heart rate and break a sweat. You can talk, but not sing a song.
Doing water aerobics
Riding a bike on level ground
Walking in a pool
Playing doubles tennis
Pushing a lawn mower
Little game of tag with the kids
Spice it up and have some fun.
The list is endless, get creative!
When beginning cardio workouts, keep it slightly challenging. This will allow your body time to adjust to your increased activity level. Gradually increase the challenge as what you are currently doing becomes easy. When it's easy, it's time to add a little more effort or time. Take your activity level up gradually for the healthiest results and less soreness and chance of injury.
